Project Ex was founded to confront the toxic narratives that have long fueled hatred, violence, and division in Arab societies. These narratives perpetuate cycles of conflict, hinder progress, and sow fear, keeping communities trapped in the past. At Project Ex, we are dedicated to liberation—liberation from mental slavery, destructive ideologies, and the falsehoods that stifle growth and unity.
The origins of Project Ex are deeply personal. Raised in a traditional Muslim environment, I was taught to distrust and despise those who were different. This worldview shaped my early years until my conversion to Christianity in 2007, which profoundly transformed my perspective. That journey opened my eyes to the beauty of human diversity and the power of love to triumph over hate.
For over a decade, I led initiatives to dismantle harmful religious narratives, lifting the burdens of guilt, fear, and hostility that weigh heavily on Arab societies. These efforts inspired thousands to adopt fresh perspectives. However, they were often hindered by security concerns and restrictions on free expression. In 2023, facing escalating threats and driven by a desire for a brighter future for my family, I moved to the United States to begin a new chapter of advocacy.
Our Mission
Project Ex exists to rewrite the narrative, reconcile it with reality, and inspire transformation. We aim to:
1. Challenge Harmful Ideologies: Dismantle destructive religious, political, and social doctrines.
2. Promote peace and reconciliation: Empower individuals to reject hatred and embrace peace.
3. Educate Globally: illuminate the roots and global impact of conflicts in the Arab world.

The name Project Ex is deeply symbolic. It is inspired by the term “Exodus”—a journey of liberation, breaking free from the bondage of mental, spiritual, and societal slavery. It also reflects the transformative power of being “Ex”—former haters, former believers in violence, and former prisoners of harmful ideologies. At Project Ex, we believe in the power of change, in leaving behind the chains of the past to embrace a brighter, freer future.
